Golden West Casino Friday NL Tournament 11/26

Buy-in: $25
Rebuys: 0

Within the first two blinds I figured my table to be fairly average, one maniac and one rock.
I played fairly tight until the first break, took down three pots without seeing a river card, my tight image and continuation betting is always a good formula for this type of table. One older woman had no clue what she was doing and called everybody down to the river with nothing most of the time. I also witnessed her fold a winning flush.

Chip count at first break, 8000.

About three hands into the fourth level the floor manager decided to move me to another table that needed players, this is something I despise especially after figuring out every person's play style at the table I was playing at. I sit down, receive A-Jo under the gun, make a sizeable raise to be re-raised by the button, who's stack looked giant. I shove only to be dominated by his A-Qs. The entire board is blanks and I'm eliminated after one hand at the new table. I felt foolish for allowing myself to over-value A-J especially in such a terrible position. Lesson learned.

  1. Poker is mijn spel. Het horen van dit toernooi is goed voor mij, want er zijn een heleboel mensen die dit spel spelen en dit is er gelegenheid om de prijs van dit toernooi te winnen. Ze hebben te kampen over dit spel.
